Tourism promotion continued dispite EU flight ban

Jero Wacik, the Indonesian Culture and Tourism Minister said "We will not stop tourism promotion in Europe".

This mean that the government are not frightened or disturbed with the flight warning to Europe. Although all 51 of the Indonesian airlines are prohibited to fly over or to Europe.

This government act is the right choice because some of the Europe tourist have affected from this flight ban. Although not many but the tourism rate decrease will cause some more bigger problem since the Indonesian majority subject are the tourism, that airline is one of the tourist choice for traveling to Indonesia.

Continued, he said the ban would certainly have an adverse impact on the number of tourist arrivals, particularly those from Europe to Indonesia. "Of course there will be impact. European tourists will certainly be disturbed," he said.

Indonesia disagree of flight warning

One of Indonesian Government Department is against the flight warning from The Europe. This is becase Indonesia think that the flight warning just because of administrative matter. The goverment will try to discuss about this an about more principal things.

About this airline problem, the Minister has call to make a dialog with Jean Breteche, the Europe embassy.

The flght warning has started at July, 6, 2007.

Budhi Mulyawan, the chief of Indonesian Air Transportation, The Indonesian Airline has make a lot of adjustment and fix the problem. Safety has became the most important aspect of them.

Five major international airport have been audited so it will be more clear about the national airline matter.

Hopefully the Europe will be the contributor along with other international institutions to solve the airline problem of Indonesia.

Flight warning cause the decreased income

The Indonesian flight warning to Europe country estimated to make a decreased income from airline traffic. The income decreased estimated about 4 million rupiahs.

"This year we will lost about 4 million because of this" said the Panorama Tours owner in Jakarta this Tuesday.

As also said by Herna P Danuningrat, the chief of Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel agency (Asita), "From this Europe flight warning, all the airways should take action by introspection and get the standard of flight safety as the international way."

Later, Asita said that it will take about 4 years to stabilizes the tourism traffic to Indonesia as a major choice of Europe tourism because of this flight warning.

In a General Meeting of INACA 2007 in Bali, one of the Indonesian Minister, Jusman Syafii said that the goverment has take action by doing some protection step to domestic flight as the "open sky" that will started in the next year of 2008.

The tourism effect from flight warning

The flight warning to Europe is a problem for tourism growth. as said by the Indonesian MInister, Jero Wacik. If the flight warning will occur fro a long time, this will make the tourism activity get a bad effect. Since the airliner is one of the traveller choice to go to other country.

"Hopely the flight warning will just temporary, because this will make a negative effect to tourism" Jero Wacik said on Monday in Jakarta.

The Minister has make this case to be solve as soon as possible. He said that the most important thing to do is how to fix the Indonesian Airliner to be good, and so is 'its security matter.

As the flight warning is for 51 Indonesian airliner, including the Garuda Indonesia to Europe, the goverment will take the action seriously.

While Bill Farmer, the Australian embassy for Indonesia said that he will still trust and believe in Garuda Indonesia Airliner, as said to Antara.

Lion Air order 40 Boeing aircraft

Indonesian airline Lion Air has placed a firm order for 40 additional single-aisled Boeing 737-900 ER planes worth more than 3.0 billion dollars at catalogue prices, Boeing said at the Paris Air Show on Monday.

Lion Air, a low-cost operator, has now ordered 100 of the small Boeing planes, which are normally used on shorthaul flights.

Separately, Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways announced it had placed a firm order for 30 single-aisled planes with Boeing's rival, Airbus.

Jazeera Airways has opted for the Airbus 320 range of aircraft, the group announced at a joint press conference with Airbus.

The A320 range of planes is priced from 56-86 million dollars (42-64 million euros) each.

Aircraft crash in Serdang, Indonesia

Indonesia - An aircraft without a passenger, has crash in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra today at 9.30 local time. The pilot has injured in this accident, and he has been taken to the hospital.

Irwin, the pilot who fly this aircraft, has been injured his chess because of the broken front window glass. The plane was crash because of a wind turbulence.

According to a witness of the accident, the plane's wing hit a bamboo tree.
This aircraft is belong to PT Perkebunan Nusantara II Tajung Morawa. The aircraft used to spread an insectisida chemical to the tobacco farm.

In the time of crash, this aircraft bring a chemical material. Because of this chemical is flammable, the local police has ask the people to stay away, and make a no smoking warning to the people's in the crash site. The plane was crash in a swamp next to river.

Garuda Indonesia to Add 25 New Aircraft Starting 2009

Garuda Indonesia to Add 25 New Aircraft Starting 2009 In an important step to support its business expansion and upgrade its service, Garuda Indonesia plans to bring in 25 new Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (B-737-NG) aircraft, which it has ordered from The Boeing Company.

These planes will join Garuda Indonesia fleet in several stages: eight units in May - December 2009, ten in January – October 2010, five in August – December 2011, and two in January – February 2012.

In addition, ten Boeing 787 series 8 (B787-8) Dreamliner aircraft which the Boeing Company began producing in 2006, will join the fleet starting in 2011. The B-737NG is a modern, sophisticated narrow-body, twin engine aircraft with a body length of 40.68 meters and wingspan of 35.81 meters.

It can fly at a speed of 0.79 mach, faster than the Classic B-737, which can only reach 0.74 mach. The B-737NG can also fly at elevations up to 41.000 feet, and has a maximum take-off weight of 79,015 kg and maximum landing weight of 65,317 kg.

The other new plane, the B-787-8 Dreamliner is a wide body aircraft with the latest state-of- the art technology including a monitoring system that enables the plane to monitor its own maintenance needs and report the automatically to a ground based computer.

This model can reach a speed of 0.85 mach and can fly 8,500 nautical miles (15,700 km) non-stop. It has two engines, a body length of 57 meters, height of 6 meters, and wingspan of 60 meters. The B-787-8 Dreamliner’s body is built from a composite material, making the plane much lighter and therefore 20% more fuel-efficient than other similar sized planes.

The arrival of these new B-737NG and B-787-8 Dream liner aircraft will be constitute the realization of the Garuda Indonesia Fleet Development and Modernization Agreement signed with the Boeing Company on 15 September 2005 in New York City.

Few of Indonesian Airways Audited for AOC

Indonesia - The Indonesian Transportation Departement will anounced the Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC) for some of Indonesian Airways soon.

The announcement will be published within this weeks. Until this month, the Transportation Departement has audited three of Indonesian Airways. On the airways that got low result on the audited, will be taken their AOC lisence.

According to Yurlis Hasibuan, the chief of Tranpotation Departement, three of the airways are: Adam Sky Connection Airline, Wings Air Inc., Dirgantara Air Service.

The dat in Tranportation Departement show some of the airways that has AOC but no longer do any activity. Most of them do not fullfill the common airways requirement.

He says, "If the report has published in rating system, the lowest rating airways will be taken their AOC lisence. But the action will not given immediately, because they will get opportunity to fix their problem first."
