The missing old pilot has not yet found

According to The Oregon Civil Air Patrol, the old pilot that has missed has yet to be found.

Nine Oregon Civil Air Patrol planes, involving 64 personnel from Oregon and Washington have been searching without success, around a 50 mile radius of the Aurora State Airport, to the Oregon coast, where Mumford lives.

The pilot name is Courtland Mumford, with his description are: white, and in good health, 6-foot-1 height, 170 pounds weight, with gray hair and blue eyes, the press release as reported in Argus Observer shows. He is now 68 years old. He is a retired airline pilot from Portland. Mumford is an experienced pilot, since he has logged more than 27,000 hours of flight time.

Before, Mumford was conducting practice flights out of the Aurora State Airport July 8, and failed to return with his newly purchased Piper Cub airplane, Oregon Civil Air Patrol

Anyone with information on the possible location of Mumford’s plane should call the Oregon Civil Air Patrol Command Post at (503) 678-1889. Anyone with information on Mumford is encouraged to notify Portland Police Dept. Det. Mike Weinstein at (503) 823-0446.
