Fitch Ratings has raised its debt rating on US Airways Group Inc., saying its credit quality has improved substantially since it emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September 2005, Reuters reports.
Fitch has raised US Airways' issuer default rating to B-minus, six steps below investment grade, from CCC. The outlook is positive, indicating another upgrade is likely over the next one to two years.
