Tiger Airways signs for 30 more A320 aircraft

LE BOURGET, France: Singapore low-cost carrier Tiger Airlines has signed a letter of intent for the purchase of 30 Airbus A320 aircraft worth a catalogue price of US$2.2 billion (1.6 billion euros) the two groups said Thursday.

The medium-range, single-aisle planes would carry 180 passengers and be delivered between 2011 and 2014.

Tiger Airways currently operates nine A320 planes and already has plans to take delivery of 11 more in 2010.
