Frankfurt - German carrier Lufthansa said on Friday it was in discussions about launching a joint freight venture with Indian airline Jet Airways.
A spokesman for Lufthansa Cargo said it was also discussing similar moves with other potential partners.
Jet's founder and majority shareholder Naresh Goyal told Friday's edition of German business daily Handelsblatt: "We are discussing with Lufthansa about creating a joint freight subsidiary."
Lufthansa already owns a 25-per cent share in Chinese operator Jade Cargo International.
