Bonus miles linked to car rental

United sees need for 100 more pilots
In another sign of the industry's march to recovery, United Airlines later this year plans to hire up to 100 pilots. Closer to home, Logan International Airport has a job fair Wednesday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the United hangar, a few minutes' walk from the MBTA Blue Line stop on the main airport roadway.

Airlines eyeing their new ratings
J. D. Power and Associates last week unveiled its North American airline ratings, with Continental Airlines topping the list for traditional network carriers (those with hubs and first-class seats) and JetBlue the low-fare favorite. Among legacy carriers, with an average 667 score on Power's 1,000-point scale, Continental scored 704, Delta 680, American 670, Alaska 668, United 659, US Airways 655, Air Canada 648, and Northwest 646. For low-fare carriers, where the average was 748, JetBlue scored 810, Frontier 750, Southwest 744, and AirTran 721.
