US Airways Cuts More Pittsburgh Flights

US Airways is eliminating nonstop flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to five cities in July.

The affected nonstop routes are Pittsburgh to Buffalo, N.Y.; Baltimore; Altoona; San Diego and Seattle.

Currently, the company has 148 daily flights out of Pittsburgh. That number will be reduced to 127 in July.

The cuts allow the airline to put more planes into markets that have higher demand, according to a US Airways representative.

Customers who have already booked flights on the discontinued routes will be contacted by US Airways, the company said.
