Families waiting for verdict on Kenya crash site

The families of the South Africans who died in a Kenya Airways crash in Cameroon last Sunday will only know on Monday whether they can access the site of the crash in Douala, Cameroon. The families arrived in Douala yesterday.

They were told that the site had been cordoned off. It is currently regarded as harzadous and is being patrolled by police.

There has been some confusion as to whether family members would be allowed to visit the site of the jet crash in a mangrove forest outside the town of Douala.

Seven South Africans and 107 other people were killed when the plane crashed in bad weather shortly after take off a week ago.
