Search under way for small airplane in northern N.M.

MORA, N.M. State police say a search is under way for a small airplane that might have gone down in Mora County.
Lieutenant Rick Anglada says an emergency locator beacon was detected yesterday afternoon, and a search has been going on since then.

He says the search has been narrowed to an area in Duran Canyon near Chacon.

Anglada says the airplane took off from eastern New Mexico on a northbound flight.

No word yet on how many people were aboard the airplane or their identities.
