JetBlue Airways Announces CompanyBlue Meetings: A Pioneering and User-Friendly Corporate Meeting Program

NEW YORK, March 29, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- JetBlue Airways Corp. (NasdaqGS:JBLU - News) today announces CompanyBlue Meetings, an innovative and hassle-free program designed exclusively for corporate meeting planners. Features of the program include the airline's signature customer service via a fully-dedicated support desk, flexible and competitive fares and impressive front and back end incentives.

The low-cost, low-fare carrier created CompanyBlue Meetings based on the feedback of individual corporate meeting planners through interviews that JetBlue's Manager of Group Sales, Chad Meyerson, set up to gain an understanding of the features they find most valuable. Mr. Meyerson joined the sales team in April 2006 to focus on the development of CompanyBlue Meetings, in addition to group sales. To celebrate the launch, JetBlue is offering corporate travel planners 10 free one-way travel certificates when they centrally book a meeting for 15 or more travelers to the same destination on the same date by July 1st via http://www.jetblue.com/companybluemeetings or 1-888-JETBLUE, option 4 (a,b).

``JetBlue is raising the level of services offered to the corporate meeting planner by providing an exclusive customer service desk that assists planners from start to finish, simplifying the booking process and streamlining the intricacies of group travel,'' said Meyerson. ``In addition to saving them valuable time, we also provide competitive fares and rewards. In turn, their clients enjoy some of the most comfortable and entertaining travel options in the skies today, including comfy leather seats and spacious legroom.''

CompanyBlue Meetings also provides planners with one complimentary travel certificate for each 40 customers booked to the same destination on the same date(b). The travel certificates can be applied to the current group, used for site inspection or for future travel. In addition, meeting planners also get a credit for future travel on JetBlue that is equal to the dollar value of the average fare (minus taxes and fees) for every 40 seats booked, to be used towards future JetBlue CompanyBlue Meeting bookings.

The program is available for business-related travel arranged by designated corporate meeting planners with a single company billing source. In order to qualify, a minimum of 15 corporate employees must be traveling on the same date to the same destination and be booked by a corporate meeting planner via http://www.jetblue.com/companybluemeetings or 1-888-JETBLUE, option 4.

JetBlue extends group courtesies by holding seats for two weeks (travel must be at least 60 days in the future) without a deposit and allowing final payment and submission of traveler names just 30 days prior to departure. The airline requests a low $50 per person deposit to confirm seats and allows free and unlimited name changes. Additionally, JetBlue will release 10 percent of seats (provided the number of group travelers does not fall below 15) up to 60 days prior to departure without penalty. Customers may change 10 percent of the total number of seats booked for a group booking without paying the airline's $30 change fee (applicable difference in air fare will apply). Cancellations can be made up to 30 days prior to departure, less the $50 per person deposit. Group Terms and Restrictions apply and these will be provided to the meeting planner at the time of the group booking.

JetBlue currently serves 51 destinations, and will welcome its 52nd destination, San Francisco, on Thursday, May 3. Recently, JetBlue expanded service to business travel markets including Austin, TX; Charlotte, NC; Columbus, OH; Houston, TX; Nashville, TN; Pittsburgh, PA; Raleigh-Durham, NC; and Richmond, VA, as well as tropical leisure getaways like Bermuda, Cancun and Aruba.

The airline operates flights with two types of aircraft: the newly modified Airbus A320 fleet, which offers 36-inch pitch in rows 1-11 and 34-inch pitch in rows 12-25; and, the EMBRAER 190 fleet, offering 32- and 33-inch pitch -- and no middle seats. All JetBlue aircraft feature comfy all-leather seats, with more legroom than any other airline's coach cabin(c) and individual seat-back televisions with 36 channels of free DIRECTV(r) programming(d), and the EMBRAER 190 fleet also offers more than 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio. XM Radio is currently being installed on all A320 aircraft. Last week, the airline accepted delivery of its 100th A320. The value-oriented airline currently operates the world's largest fleet of A320 aircraft.

JetBlue Airways has created a new airline category based on value, service and style. Based in New York City, and now in its eighth year, the low-cost carrier currently serves 51 destinations with more than 550 flights daily. JetBlue has the most legroom in coach(c) and is America's first and only airline to offer its own Customer Bill of Rights, with meaningful compensation for customers inconvenienced by flight delays or cancellations(e). In addition to its signature seatback personal television service(d), the low-fare, high-value airline offers customers generous brand name snacks and beverages, including freshly brewed Dunkin' Donuts(r) coffee, and delicious wines selected by the airline's Low Fare Sommelier, Josh Wesson from Best Cellars(r). JetBlue service between Boston and Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Provincetown, and Hyannis, MA is operated by JetBlue's marketing partner, Cape Air. With JetBlue, all seats are assigned, all travel is ticketless, all fares are one-way, and an overnight stay is never required.
