Highwoods renews lease with US Airways

Highwoods Properties on Friday said it has renewed a lease with US Airways for a 101,555-square-foot Triad facility.

Highwoods (NYSE: HIW - News) has maintained the lease with US Airways since 1988. The agreement, set to expire at the end of 2007, renews the lease for seven years beginning in January 2008.

US Airways has occupied 100 percent of the facility throughout the life of the agreement. The company uses the building as its primary reservation call center on the East Coast and houses 650 reservations and sales agents at the facility.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

As of Dec. 31, 2006, Raleigh-based Highwoods owned or had an interest in 392 office, industrial and retail properties encompassing 34.3 million square feet.
